Note:

Sang’s Martial Arts Karate classes are a year around program, including the summer months.

We close for major holidays and about 10 days for Christmas and the New Year's holiday.

I do not cancel classes when the school systems are out on breaks or out of school for snow. I cancel when weather conditions are extreme. If a class is missed, it may be made up by attending a class of the same belt level.

Sang’s Martial Arts offers classes for beginners that allow you to ease into the program slowly and safely. You don’t need previous martial arts experience or be in great shape.  Beginner classes are small, so you progress at a pace consistent with your ability and level of fitness. If you have previous experience or are in good physical condition you can progress more quickly.

To grow up and become a successful, productive and resilient adult, a child needs a strong foundation of

values, along with rock-solid self-esteem and a powerful self-image.

Here at Sang’s Martial Arts our Children program was created for children ages 4 to 13 to help teach values like focus, respect, discipline, humility, perseverance and how to work with others. Our program develops these fundamental values in a safe, family environment that supplies the needed for children to grow and mature. Coming to their group classes and training consistently helps develop these key values and characteristics, which carries over to home and school.

To ensure your child’s first experience is a safe and productive one, all our lesson plans are structured to teach the essential mental and physical values required to improve their overall attitude, behavior, confidence, discipline, esteem and fitness level.  All instruction is provided through high-energy, reward-based positive coaching, which will have your child enjoying all aspects of learning and applying their

new-found skills.

Our Hoshin-Ki Kai/Kyokushin Karate Classes for Kids are usually broken down into several age groups:

Pee-Wee: – ages 4-6

Youth: – ages 7-8

Juniors:- ages 9-13 General class all color belts

Your Future Leader Will:

  • Develop rock-solid self-esteem – so that setbacks in life rarely affect them.

  • Build an unshakable “Can do” self-image – so that they approach everything in life with the attitude that they can do it.

  • Develop total body coordination – so they can do other activities with ease and control their bodies when training.

  • Build their endurance – so they can study, play and train longer without getting tired.

  • Develop razor-sharp focus – so they can stay on task, no matter if at home, school or training.

  • Build listening skills – so they be present and absorb conversations, be it at home, school, with friends or training.

  • Develop cooperation – so that they learn how to train and compete with and against people, without making it personal.

  • Build functional strength and fitness – so that they can use their bodies to protect themselves, train or play while maintaining good health.

  • Develop lifelong self-defense skills – so as they grow and move on, they have the ability to stand up for themselves should the need arise.

In order to do all the above, discipline, focus and respect are a vital part of our training. Thus, there are certain formalities and procedures that all students will asked to follow.

Hoshi-Ki kai training is very demanding. You push yourself until you think you've reached your limit. First, your body wants to stop and give up, but your mind keeps pushing you. Then your mind will want to stop, but your spirit keeps you going. When you reach this point, you must fight yourself, your weaknesses, and you must win. To do this, you must endure the pain, you must learn to persevere, but above all, you must learn to be patient.

Hoshi-Ki Kai will help guide you to achieve and improve your self-discipline, self-esteem, self-respect, and respect for others. It will also build good character, and help you work towards a healthier lifestyle.
