Pee-Wee 4 – 6-years

The Pee-Wee karate program is designed for children 4 – 6 years of age. The class is designed to provide a foundation of basic karate skills. The kids in the class have fun while learning karate fundamentals. More important, however, our focus is on:

This class focuses on form, basics technique, skills, drills and fitness games for kids. The physical aspects of your child's training will improve balance, endurance, range of motion, coordination, flexibility, and stamina.

The mental aspects of your child's training will develop self-respect, confidence, awareness, and focus.

  • Developing listening skills

  • Following directions

  • Being courteous

  • Learning in a group environment

  • And much more.

Our classes are highly interactive and utilize a variety of activities to maintain the child’s interest. The Pee-Wee classes are designed for the student to attend two days a week.

Youth 7 – 8 years

For Youth we offer a beginner/intermediate class. Both groups have 2 class times each week. Classes are 1 hour long and begin with basic warm-ups karate drills to develop strength, flexibility and endurance.

Following warm-ups, we usually form into smaller focus groups to provide individual training. Our color belt stripe testing system ensures that students’ performance is frequently assessed and that all kids progress steadily toward their next belt promotion.

Sparring is introduced to beginners and continued throughout their course of training. As they progress toward junior Black Belt, Advanced Youth develop leadership skills, and as they do, they are given increasing responsibilities teaching lower ranking students.

The goal is to support each student’s development and understanding of the requirements and the way of Hoshi-Ki Kai karate-do

We are serious martial arts school looking for highly motivated men, women and children who are interested in improving themselves both physical and mentally. At Sang, martial art, the competition is with yourself, not with others. We are not concerned whether you are better or worse than someone else. Our only goal is that each day, when you leave, you are a little better than when you came. This training is conducted in a discipline, supervision, and yet a fun environment that will allow you to realize your full potential for growth and achievement.

Beginners classes. When you start, you attend special class says for beginners. These classes allow you to ease into the program slowly and safely. It is not necessary if you have any previous private experience or that you are in good physical condition. You progress at a pace consistent with your ability and level and fitness. You are either moved too fast nor held back. If you have previous experience or are in good physical condition, you can progress more quickly. If you need more time to develop, you will not feel pressure. Everyone is treated as an individual.
